Pittsburgh man arrested after corner store robbery following police chase

PITTSBURGH, PA—Detectives from Violent Crime and CoComputer crime units arrested 18-year-old Jamill Roberts of Pittsburgh on Wednesday after a short chase in the Hill District.

The pursuit resulted in Roberts' arrest not only for the chase, but also for a robbery at the Samba Minimart on Bedford Avenue that occurred last Saturday.

Roberts faces several charges, including robbery, theft by unauthorized receipt, receiving stolen goods, fleeing and eluding, resisting arrest, conspiracy and failure to obey stop signs.

After his arrest, Roberts was taken to the Allegheny County Jail.

The case is currently being further investigated by local authorities.
