Ontario quarterback challenges Deion Sanders, Colorado coach asks Travis Hunter for support

0

You tag Coach Prime in your X-post and may not expect a response. If he does respond, you'd be very lucky. Interestingly, Ontario quarterback Daniel Mielke II was lucky enough to catch Deion Sanders' attention, despite not being a Buff himself. You're probably wondering if the quarterback must have done something out of the ordinary for the Buffs' head coach to burst into his post.

Yes, you're right. In a surprising turn of events, Mielke II challenged Sanders not to a typical football showdown, but to a fishing contest. The quarterback didn't forget to tag the ultimate fishing champion on Colorado's roster, Travis Hunter, and threw down the gauntlet. Sanders, who always counted on Hunter, was surely surprised by this unique challenge.

Although Deion Sanders is not Mielke II's coach, that didn't stop the Ontario quarterback from giving the Buffs HC an open challenge. The 6'3″, 195-pound quarterback from La Verne, California, wasn't someone Coach Prime knew personally. But now he does, for an obvious reason. Mielke II tagged Deion Sanders when he wrote: “We caught trout today! @DeionSanders and @TravisHunterJr have nothing on us.” This was followed by Coach Prime’s confident response, which was later deleted: “Keep trying.”

However, the buff HC's confidence is not based on his own skills. Instead, he relies on one of his players. It is none other than his dual threat, Travis Hunter, who uses fishing rods as magic wands, placing spells on the water and attracting the fish. It is not that Sanders is not interested in fishing at all, as he too has started to become interested in this hobby. The reason for this newfound interest, however, is to beat Hunter, as on one occasionTrainer Prime joked in one of his Instagram posts: “He really believes [Hunter] can beat me at fishing. I'll try to be a good host, but tomorrow we'll start!”

Sanders and Hunter's fishing adventure takes a new turn

Hunter, known for his skills on the field, decided to surprise Sanders with his skills off the field. Last December, the two went on a fishing trip. To everyone's surprise, Hunter managed to outdo his trainer by landing a whopping 10-pound bass. This unexpected victory left the trainer in a state of shock and excitement, who exclaimed: “Oh my God oh my God!“Oh, Lord Jesus!”

The video of their fishing session went viral and the Deion Sanders-Travis Hunter duo was considered an impressive fishing duo. They often chose Lake Prime and Lake Time, the freshwater bodies on the farm of the buff HC, as their favorite spots. To further strengthen their bond, Hunter gifted Deion Sanders some fishing equipment.

So far, the competition has been between Deion Sanders and Travis Hunter. However, now it's time for them to fight as a team if they want to defeat Ontario quarterback Daniel Mielke II. Now that the Buffs HC is counting on him, Hunter has already won the competition by winning the coach's heart.
