Hull KR learn their Challenge Cup semi-final opponents as the last four draws have been made

0

Hull KR face Wigan Warriors in the Challenge Cup semi-finals. The Robins are poised to make a third successive appearance at this stage of the competition after securing their place in the last four following their 26-14 win over Leigh Leopards in the quarter-finals.

Their opponents, Wigan, also recorded a massive 60-6 win over Castleford Tigers today. Matt Peet's team scored a dozen tries in total, with Harry Smith converting six tries. The tie is a repeat of last year's semi-final at Headingley, in which the Robins won through a drop goal from Brad Schneider.

Elsewhere, Huddersfield Giants play Warrington Wolves in the other semi-final. The Wire beat St Helens 31-8 on their home ground to secure a final fourth place spot.

Meanwhile, the Giants won comfortably against the Catalans Dragons 34-6 in Perpignan on Saturday evening. Ian Watson's side were by all accounts sensational and stunned the Dragons to reach the semi-finals.

The Challenge Cup semi-finals will take place on Saturday, May 18th and Sunday, May 19th. The RFL will confirm neutral venues for the clashes as soon as possible.

In the Women's Challenge Cup semi-final, St Helens play York Valkyrie and Wigan Warriors face Leeds Rhinos.
