An “outstanding” Liverpool player is now attracting the attention of Italian clubs, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Just because Liverpool are unsure who will take over the leadership role doesn't mean the club's recruitment team aren't looking at possible transfer deals, both incoming and outgoing.

With Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes entering the boardroom, there is some clarity about which direction Liverpool are heading.

And it promises to be a crucial summer, with Edwards and Hughes likely to have to make many difficult decisions in the coming months.

It remains to be seen whether it is about the club's new manager, potential targets they want to bring to Anfield or even players who could be considered for sale. One thing is guaranteed: it will be a very busy transfer window for Liverpool in the summer.
