Safety competition is a good conclusion to Saskatchewan Mining Week – 620 CKRM

At the end of Mining Week in Saskatchewan, several safety teams had to give their best in a tough competition.

Teams from 18 mine sites around Saskatchewan compete in the Saskatchewan Mining Association’s 54th Emergency Response/Mine Rescue Competition held at the World Trade Centre at Prairieland Park in Saskatoon.

The underground and surface rescue teams demonstrated their skills in seven different competitions. The overall winner in the “surface” category was the team from the K+S potash mine in Bethune. The overall winner in the “underground” category was the team from the Nutrien mine in Cory.
