Ride free on LaSalle Transit during Strawberry Festival weekend!

Ride LaSalle Transit 25 for free from Thursday, June 6 through Saturday, June 8! Bus service has been enhanced during the LaSalle Strawberry Festival, with free service and extended hours to match those of the festival. Buses will run during festival hours on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Last pickups at the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex will be a few minutes after the festival ends. Schedules will be posted on the LaSalle Transit page on the city's website.

There is also a free shuttle bus on Friday night to take visitors to the festival for the fireworks and back home. The bus runs between the Event Centre at 970 Front Road and the Vollmer Complex between 7pm and 11pm. Parking is on a first come, first served basis and is available at the Event Centre by entering the parking lot from Bouffard Road. Additional parking is available on Front Road and Laurier Drive. The additional parking is a short walk to the Event Centre. Guests can be dropped off at the Event Centre prior to parking. The shuttle service runs approximately every 30 minutes.

Presented by Valente Development Corporation and Valente Real Estate, the fireworks display will be set off near the pond at the Vollmer Complex at approximately 10:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7. The fireworks display will be viewed from anywhere on the Vollmer Complex property.

From Monday, June 3rd through Monday, June 10th, a portion of Mike Raymond Drive will be closed. All vehicle traffic entering the Vollmer Centre parking lots must do so via Laurier Parkway. Parking difficulties may be experienced at the Vollmer Complex throughout the festival. Parking is free and will be first come, first served throughout the weekend. Visitors are reminded not to park in no parking zones or they may be ticketed and/or towed.

Cycle to the festival and use Bike Windsor Essex's free bike valet service. The valet service is located near entrance number 1 (look for signs).

Please note that bags or purses larger than 14″ x 14″ x 6″ and all backpacks are not permitted onto the festival grounds. Diaper bags and medical bags are permitted. All reasonably sized bags, purses, fanny packs, etc., as well as diaper and medical bags, will be inspected by security prior to entry onto the festival grounds.
