As someone who never grew out of her musical phase, I am more than excited about the Girls Club – Be careful, they bite! Film musical, coming out this Friday.

People have concerns, but the stage version is So good (trust me) and captures the original film perfectly. It also features Reneé Rapp, who was part of the Broadway production and is an incredible singer.

Rapp plays the iconic Regina George in the film and paid tribute to the original Regina George, played by Rachel McAdams, in her outfit for the film's premiere last night.

Rapp wore a black tuxedo dress with a baby pink corset over it. She paired this Christian Siriano Spring 2024 design with chunky silver and black jewelry and pointy black leather shoes. And we can't forget her signature blonde bangs.

The inspiration for this look came from the strapless baby pink satin dress McAdams wore in the “Spring Fling” scene in the 2004 film, which she paired with a black neck and back brace (as if you forgot that because she got hit by a bus).

This was the perfect way to pay tribute to the other Regina George, and you could almost say it's very chic of her! Don't worry, I know I can't do it, so let's just call it “grool” for now.

As for the original Regina George, McAdams was unfortunately not one of the stars who attended last night's premiere. She also did not attend Walmart's Girls Club – Be careful, they bite! commercial in November, although the other three Plastics (played by Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert) all appeared.

When asked about her decision not to do that commercial, McAdams said, “I don't know, I think I wasn't that excited about doing a commercial, if I'm being completely honest,” she said. “A movie sounded great, but I'd never done commercials before, and it just didn't feel like my thing. Plus… I didn't know that everyone was doing it. I would always love to be part of a Girls Club – Be careful, they bite! Reunion and hanging out with my Plastics, but yeah, I found that out later.”

It's refreshing to see McAdams choosing what's right for herself and not letting nostalgia or pressure of any kind deter her from her current career plans. That's your call.

The 2024 Girls Club – Be careful, they bite! is set to hit theaters on January 12, and we can see Rapp bring her Regina George to the big screen. In the meantime, you can already listen to one of the film's songs, “World Burn,” on Spotify. Thank me later!
