Media Advisory – Launch of Starliner Spacecraft Manned Flight Test to the International Space Station NASA Media Events

LONGUEUIL, QC, May 31, 2024 /CNW/ – NASA Boeing Starliner The manned flight test to the International Space Station (ISS) is now scheduled to begin on 1 Junest at 12:25 p.m. ET from NASA Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Astronaut Joshua Kutryk of the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) will be capcom for launch from the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.

Canadian media can attend the following NASA events virtually:

  • Press conference before the start: 31. May at 1:00 p.m. ET

  • Live coverage from the launch: 1 Junest away 8:15 a.m. ET

  • Press conference after the launch: 1 Junest at 2:00 p.m. ET

Crew flight test of the Starliner spacecraft

This important flight will test the capabilities of the Starliner and will pave the way for the Starliner-1 mission to the ISS, scheduled for launch in 2025. Starliner-1 will be CSA astronaut Joshua KutrykThis will be astronaut AD's first space mission, and he will be the fourth CSA astronaut to participate in a long-duration mission to the ISS.
