Junior C Northmen win 12-10 against Fergus | Orangeville Citizen

The Orangeville Junior C Northmen hosted the Fergus Thistles on Friday, May 24th at the Tony Rose Arena in Orangeville.

Fergus came to town on a five-game winning streak, outscoring their opponents 68-26.

At the end of the first half, the Northmen were trailing 3:4.

The goals for Northmen were scored by Cameron McClintock, Jack Fitzpatrick and Luke Downard.

The Northmen dominated the second half, scoring four goals before the Thistles could respond. Orangeville added four more goals in the half.

The goals for the Northmen were scored by Daniel Dorval, Holton Marshall, two by Josh Presley, two by Jack Fitzpatrick and two by Logan Marshall.

The Northmen went into the final phase with an 11-6 lead and were confident. However, the Thistles showed a good closing phase and defeated the Northmen 4-1 in the final frame.

The Northmen kept the lead and won 12:10.

On the away tour, the Northmen will face Halton, Brantford and Barrie.

They return to the Tony Rose Arena on June 8 to host the Six Nations Stealth.
