Hull FC loan two more players to Championship as Franklin Pele departs

Hull FC have sent Franklin Pele and Davy Litten on loan to the Championship. The pair have joined youth club York Knights on a short-term loan, joining a growing list of players currently playing elsewhere and under contract with the club.

Pele, an off-season signing from NRL side Canterbury Bulldogs, has played eight games for the club but struggled in the loss to the London Broncos at the weekend. It was an eventful start to life at the MKM Stadium for Pelé, who was sent off on his debut against Hull KR.

As for Litten, who has shown promise in a difficult 2023 season, he has only played two games for the Black and Whites this season, most recently against St Helens in round nine. The pair will now battle it out to play for Andrew Henderson's side against the Halifax Panthers on Sunday.

Pele's departure means four of the club's off-season signings are not currently with the club. Fa'amanu Brown has permanently left the club, while Jayden Okunbur and Liam Tindall are also on loan in the Championship, playing for Bradford Bulls.

As for the Black and Whites, players like Jack Ashworth and Brad Fash are pushing for a return, while at full-back, Litten's specialist position, Jack Walker and Logan Moy are vying for the spot.

Hull will next face Castleford Tigers on Friday. After eleven rounds of the Super League season, the Black and Whites are currently three points behind Craig Lingard's team.
