Rosario Dawson:
It is so beautiful and so special. I was just thrilled when I saw Hayden in
Obi Wan Kenobi
and I just hoped and crossed that that would happen with him on our show. I don't want to blame anyone on the crew, but I have to say there were some tears shed when we saw the lightsaber in his hand again. It's pretty remarkable and very special.

Although there were some mishaps due to not training together for their duel, both actors enjoyed the experience and praised each other for their acting and fencing skills. Christensen and Dawson avoided confirming whether Anakin could returnThey teased the possibility for their war of stars future. Check out what they said below:

I don't know who was tougher between Ray Stevenson and Hayden. There were definitely moments when I thought, “We are
to kill me – right, guys?”

: But your punches were pretty powerful too. We managed well, but there were no major mishaps as far as I remember.

We actually had a lot of fun. It was really special. It was definitely a highlight of the production and one of those moments where I had to pinch myself and think, “Is this work?” There are a lot of moments on a project where you feel the intensity and this is one I would have paid to be a part of.

Hayden Christensen's return to Anakin Skywalker was everything we could have wanted

Anakin Skywalker in Ahsoka, Episode 8

Christensen's long-awaited return to the galaxy far, far away was a perfect reinterpretation of the character, 19 years after his war of stars debut. After being panned by critics when the prequel trilogy was first released and the years that followed saw the stronger physical moments of his performance re-evaluated, Christensen's renewed portrayal of Anakin allowed those who grew up with his portrayal to share their appreciation. The actor's return in Obi Wan Kenobi And Ahsoka allowed the actor to reinterpret the character with a fresh, new approach that took into account all of his character's canonical development since then.

How Hayden Christensen's Anakin Return in Ahsoka Was Influenced by George Lucas (and Honored His Legacy)

Hayden Christensen's return to Star Wars as Anakin Skywalker in Ahsoka was influenced by none other than the creator of Star Wars himself, George Lucas.

With his return to Obi Wan KenobiChristensen was finally able to portray Vader on screen for an extended period of time. He embodied an angry, vengeful Anakin both through his performance and through chilling dialogue that showed that there was not much left of the legendary Jedi hero of the Clone Wars, much to the dismay of Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor). AhsokaOn the other hand, it provided a perfect epilogue to Anakin's journey, as a wiser Anakin, redeemed and at one with the Force, was finally able to teach his student important lessons after their tragic separation in life. Christensen's return thus provided key moments for Anakin's overall arc.

With the actor’s real story and over 15 years of development between the two characters, Anakin and Ahsoka’s reunion in Ahsoka remains a highlight of the series. Although Christensen and Dawson joined the franchise more than 17 years apart, they immediately managed to capture the emotional, complex bond between master and apprentice and end their troubled dynamic in a wonderful way. And both stars hint at a possible return of Anakin in Ahsoka In season 2, viewers can look forward to seeing if there are more lessons to be learned.
