0

The southbound lane of the main line through Granby Industrial Estate in Chickerell will be closed for a month.

This is Hampshire Road and Cumberland Drive between their junctions with the B3157 Chickerell Link Road and Tecan Way.

This means Hampshire Road and Cumberland Drive are essentially one-way and motorists cannot access the property via Chickerell Link Road.

Work begins today, Monday, April 15th, and is expected to be completed by Friday, May 17th.

A Dorset Council spokesman said: “We are renewing the eastern pavement on Hampshire Road and Cumberland Drive, so we will need to close the southbound lane on Hampshire Road and Cumberland Drive during the work.”

“During this time there will be a signposted one-way system for all vehicles along the northbound lane.

“People will continue to have access to nearby businesses and we have been engaging with businesses and stakeholders to answer their questions as we plan this work. As always, members of the highway team who are on site during the work will also have the opportunity to answer questions.”
