Cumberland man arrested for attacking woman at local store

CUMBERLAND, MD – On Thursday, Cumberland Police issued a summons to Nicholi Alexander Sneden, 21, of Frostburg following an incident that occurred earlier this week.

The incident occurred around 6:55 p.m. on Monday and led officers to the 200 block of Paca Street, where they responded to a medical emergency and a report of a possible assault. Upon arrival, officers encountered Sneden, who reported being attacked by a woman during an argument at a business on Greene Street.

Further investigation revealed that Sneden had committed an assault himself during the incident. Charges were subsequently filed against him in Allegany County District Court. Sneden acknowledged receiving the summons and was released pending his trial.

Sneden is charged with second-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
