Carolyn Alleman Obituary – Hamilton, NJ

HAMILTON – Carolyn A. Alleman, 80, of Yardville, died Wednesday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Trenton, grew up in the Whitehorse section of Hamilton Township and has lived in Yardville for more than 45 years. She graduated from Hamilton High School West in 1948 and served on the reunion committee for over 60 years. Carolyn began her career after high school as a cashier and bookkeeper for A&P Supermarket and retired from the New Jersey State Department of Agriculture in 2002 after more than 25 years of service.

She was the daughter of the late William J. and Mildred Ahr Davala and the sister of the late Joan M. Hafer. She is survived by her husband, William E. Alleman; her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Linda Alleman of Hamilton Square; her two grandchildren, whom she adored, Michael and Jenna Alleman; her brothers and sisters-in-law, William J. and Janet Davala of Hamilton Township and Lawrence and Elizabeth Davala of Princeton; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, 555 Yardville-Allentown Road in Yardville. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Mausoleum, 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton. Calling hours are Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 Whitehorse Ave, Hamilton.
