An epic new build in Burleigh is turning heads with its luxurious Hamptons design and stunning creekside location.

The Summer View House at 2 Elanora Drive replaced a 60-year-old beach cottage that attracted international interest when it was auctioned in 2017.

More than 400 people and 55 registered bidders turned out to see the cabin on a 602 square meter block with 50 meters of water frontage change hands for $2.55 million.

It made headlines and sparked soaring sales as surrounding property owners look to cash in.

The buyer, then based in Broadbeach Waters, had planned to demolish and build a Hamptons-style home on the site.

Seven years later, his vision was brought to life by architectural firm Jared Poole Design, contractor Richard Parsons Construction and interior designer Verandah House.

Just as the original cabin attracted attention when it came up for sale, the Summer View House has the same impact, but because of its incredible design features.

The award-winning homeowner's amazing victory changes her life

Jared Poole, director of Jared Poole Design, said the property at the popular Koala Park in Burleigh Heads was one of the most sought-after properties not only on the Gold Coast but in the country.

“The prominence of this home in the local real estate market has drawn significant attention to the construction and aesthetics while sparking the owners' desire to create an immaculate space for their family to create memories for years to come,” Herr said Poole.

“With wide angle views of the famous Tallebudgera Creek, the brief for the space was to create a unique, timeless and elegant home that will be enjoyed for decades to come.”

Mr Poole said the creation of Summer View House combined both functionality and aesthetics.

“Because we consider our clients' familial values of sharing meals with family and friends, it was important to them to create a space that connected with the home's casual living spaces and stunning water views,” he said .

“The space needed to feel bright and open, provide plenty of natural light and provide a classic, elegant look that is timeless in color and design.”

The five-bedroom, five-bathroom home stands out from the street and stream with its crisp white exterior and stone features.

Inside, the kitchen is the heart of the home and follows a classic Hampton theme with bespoke joinery, Caesarstone worktops and high quality appliances.

“At one point we thought about doing the kitchen in one color but then decided that by keeping the kitchen white we would add a subtle color to the splashback tiles,” Mr Poole said.

“When a home is surrounded by stunning blue water the color of sea glass, the color of the kitchen doesn’t have to be the focus.”

Instead, color was introduced into the scullery.

“We literally painted the skirting boards and architraves the same blue color as the furniture,” Mr Poole said.

“It resembles the color of the water and harmonizes with the tiles in the kitchen. It was the perfect choice and made the scullery a fabulous statement.”

Other features include underground parking, elevator, fireplace, wine cellar, outdoor entertainment area, pergola and pool.
