Alabama 4-Star LB Dawson Merritt is headed to 2 schools

0

According to his father, Dawson Merritt only has two schools left.

Merritt is a 2025 four-star linebacker from Blue Valley High School in Overland Park, Kansas. He will have to choose between Alabama and Nebraska in the future.

The Crimson Tide hosted Merritt as an official guest last month, and the visit exceeded all expectations.

“It was great,” Merritt said of Touchdown Alabama. “I really got to see a lot of campus, which was great, and I also got to see the field, which was crazy.”

Merritt has expressed interest in a summer commitment in the past.

The Kansas product stands 6 feet tall, weighs 220 pounds and has very long arms. He is a versatile linebacker who plays from the edge and off the ball. As an athletic young player, he shines in the room and plays sideline to sideline. His style of play lends itself well to linebacker in today's game as most teams like to throw the ball around.
