Elf the Musical – December 27th

A live musical spectacular based on the hit Christmas film 'Elf' comes to Hull for two entertaining holiday shows.

Elf The Musical brings Buddy and his seasonal entourage from the iconic Christmas blockbuster to the Connexin Live stage. The Hollywood hit has been revamped into a live musical spectacular for this Christmas and will be at Connexin Live for two shows on Friday 27 December.

The show will include a huge stage with impressive film sets on a giant LED screen, as well as a mobile stage that travels through the auditorium so everyone can experience the action up close. The presentation will include Santa's flying sleigh, a snowball fight for the audience, an indoor snowstorm, a giant candy cane journey from the North Pole, aerial circus stars and giant TV screens so you don't miss any of the spectacle.

Humber Street Sesh – 3 August

Multi-award-winning festival Humber Street Sesh has announced its line-up for this year’s main stage.

Hull band bdrmm had already been announced as headliners for 2024, but now the full Main Stage line-up has been revealed ahead of the event on Saturday 3 August.

From acoustic to post-punk to electronica and hip-hop, everything is there. You can find the complete line-up and further information here.

Humber Street Sesh main stage performances for 2024 have been announced

Oktoberfest Beverley – 18th and 19th October

New dates for Oktoberfest in Beverly have just been added.

Organisers of the festival of beer, food, music and fellowship have announced a new Friday session after early bird tickets for the Saturday event sold out. Oktoberfest Beverley will now take place on Friday and Saturday, October 18 and 19, at Beverley Racecourse.

Visitors can attend the afternoon event on Fridays from 6pm to 11pm and Saturdays from 12pm to 5pm and the evening event from 6pm to 11pm. Oktoberfest is said to offer an incredible selection of traditional German beer, which can be served in mugs of up to two pints.

Snow Patrol on the way to Hull – 19 February 2025

Snow Patrol will play at Connexin Live in Hull next year as part of their highly anticipated arena tour of the UK and Ireland.

The Northern Irish trio, whose biggest hits include 'Run' and 'Chasing Cars', will perform in Hull on Wednesday 19 February – the only date of the tour in the whole of Yorkshire – and will be playing one of the biggest arenas in the UK, most notably the O2 Arena in London.

The tour follows the September release of the band's new album, 'The Forest Is The Path', their first in six years following 2018's 'Wildness'. For more information, click here.

Snow patrol

Jane McDonald at Connexin Live – 15 November

Singer, songwriter, artist and television presenter Jane McDonald comes to Hull as part of her new tour 'With All My Love'.

Jane remains tight-lipped about the details of the tour preparations, but hints that fans can expect some treats, including new disco medleys – “I already know it's going to blow the roof off,” emotional tributes and a show that's “more personal than ever before.”

Little Shop of Horrors at Hull Truck Theatre – Wednesday 22 May to Saturday 8 June

It's the last week to see the cult monster musical “Little Shop of Horrors.” The incredibly entertaining story, music and lyrics come from the dream team of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, famous for their work on the Disney films “Aladdin,” “Beauty and the Beast” and “The Little Mermaid.”

Follow hapless salesman Seymour as he stumbles upon a mysterious new plant that promises him fame and fortune, but at a price. Hull Truck says: “Satisfy your craving for musical hilarity with this devilishly delicious sci-fi musical hit that has captured the hearts of audiences around the world, now in this brand new production at the Hull Truck Theatre.”
