Toronto is the safest Canadian city to live in, Windsor is in 22nd place.

According to a study by Ontario law firm Preszler Injury Lawyers, Windsor is ranked 22nd among Canada's most livable cities.

The study looked at the Canadian cities least affected by arson, robbery, drunk driving and burglary. Using data from the Canadian Crime Index, the number of crimes for each crime per 100,000 residents was calculated. These factors were then combined and ranked to create a top ten list of Canada's safest areas.

In Windsor there were 644.5 crimes per 100,000 residents.

Toronto was ranked as the safest city to live in in Canada, with 286.9 crimes per 100,000 residents.

Quebec ranks second with 301 crimes per 100,000 residents, while Ottawa-Gatineau, QC ranks third with 318.8 crimes.

Lethbridge is the city with the highest crime rate in Canada: there are 1,190 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and five times more burglaries than in Toronto.

According to the data, Toronto is the city with the lowest number of burglaries, with 150.8 reported burglaries per 100,000 residents. Toronto is also among the top 10 cities in Canada with the lowest number of arson and drunk driving incidents.
