This provincial park has one of the best beaches in Alberta

Soft sandy beaches are few and far between in Alberta, but what the province lacks in quantity, it makes up for in quality!

If you enjoy splashing, tanning or boating, head to Sir Winston Provincial Park – a perfect sunny day destination northeast of Edmonton.

Located 2 hours and 40 minutes from the capital, this enchanting spot has everything you can enjoy from paddling and swimming to stunning sunsets that are worth the drive.

However, if three hours seems too much for you and you want to extend your day trip, you're in luck!
