Street Crimes Unit executes search warrant

On Wednesday evening (April 17) at approximately 9:30 p.m., the Charlottetown Police Services Street Crimes Unit, with assistance from the Charlottetown Police Services Rapid Tactical Deployment & Containment Team, conducted a targeted traffic stop on Grafton Street and arrested two men and a woman for drug-related offenses . Both units then executed a search warrant at a residence on Fitzroy Street and arrested a third man at the residence.

Officers seized over half a kilogram of cocaine, 274 Oxycodone/Percocet tablets, drug paraphernalia and cash valued at $2,271.

Tracy CURRAN of Glenwilliam, PEI and Craig SAVIDANT of Charlottetown were charged with CDSA 5(2) – Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking. They were released on conditions and will appear in provincial court at a later date.

Blake WOOD of Victoria Cross, PEI was charged with CDSA 5(2) – Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking in Persons and CDSA 5(2) – Possession of Oxycodone for the Purpose of Trafficking in Persons. Timothy CHANDLER, of Charlottetown, was charged with CDSA 5(2) – Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking. Both were remanded in custody and will appear in provincial court at a later date.
