OSF HealthCare announced the expansion of phase two services to Illinois Valley residents this summer.

OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center – Peru will soon offer outpatient services and introduce additional specialty clinics, the hospital announced in a press release Wednesday.

On Sunday, June 16, 12 beds will be available for inpatients requiring inpatient care. Beginning Monday, June 17, patients will have access to a wider range of services in the Illinois Valley. OSF Saint Elizabeth – Peru, located at 925 West St. in Peru, offers outpatient diagnostic services including x-rays, mammograms, CT scans, MRI scans and ultrasounds, lab tests, outpatient infusions and EKGs. Until renovations to the hospital's main entrance are completed, all outpatients and visitors will use the temporary entrance on West Street for services.

On July 22, OSF HealthCare Cardiovascular Institute will make health care more accessible by opening a practice at 920 West St., Suite 101. This new location will be convenient for patients and allow them easy access to the services they need, OSF said in a press release. OSF Medical Group – Orthopedics is also expanding its services. Beginning July 29, patients will be seen in the newly renovated practice space at 920 West St., Suite 221. The hospital's outpatient X-ray services will also be available right next to the orthopedic practice for convenient access.

“We are excited to expand our reach to all patients and their families in the communities we serve,” said Dawn Trompeter, president of OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center and OSF Saint Paul Medical Center in Mendota. “Health care is constantly changing, and OSF HealthCare is committed to creating a sustainable, long-term regional health care model that our patients can count on.”

OSF HealthCare will announce more information about the expanded services for Illinois Valley residents as they become available, the hospital said in a news release.
