Obituary for Yvette Maillet – East Hartford, Suffield, CT

MAILLET, Yvette (Robichaud) Yvette (Robichaud) Maillet, 87, of Suffield, formerly of East Hartford, died Sunday (December 10, 2006) at her home. She was the widow of Arthur Maillet, who predeceased her in 2004 after a marriage of 48 years. Born in Bouctouche, New Brunswick, Canada, to the late Alyre and Amanda (Borque) Robichaud, she was a resident of the East Hartford community for 40 years before moving to Suffield. She was a longtime communicant of Saint Rose Church in East Hartford. She is survived by two sons, Charles A. “Chuck” Maillet and his wife, Patrice, of New Jersey, and Paul A. Maillet and his wife, Jeanne, of Pennsylvania. She also leaves behind a daughter, Suzanne Maillet of Suffield; two sisters, Evangeline Brown of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and Therese Albert of Rexton, New Brunswick, Canada. Yvette also leaves behind nine grandchildren, Kaitlin, Matthew, Patrick, Nicholas, Andrew, Alexander and Devon Maillet, and Christopher and Jonathan Hagenow, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Saint Rose Church, 33 Church Street, East Hartford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 15. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford. Visitation hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, at the Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Avenue, East Hartford.
