Obituary for Hilda Faucher – Avon, Preston, Windsor, CT

FAUCHER, Hilda E. Hilda E. (Doucette) Faucher, 83, of Avon, beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Faucher, died Sunday (Nov. 2, 2008). She was born in Van Buren, ME, daughter of the late Paul and Clara (Levasseur) Doucette. She was a member of the Church of St. Ann during her 47 years in Avon. Hilda also enjoyed crocheting and tending her beautiful flower garden. Most of all, she will be remembered as a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her son, Michael P. Faucher and his wife, Terri, of Windsor; her daughter, Sharon M. Robbins and her husband, Steven, of Preston; her daughter-in-law, Kathleen Faucher of Torrington; seven grandchildren: Susan, David Jr., Sarah, Tanya, Stacy, Joseph and Emma; five great-grandchildren: Brian, Alyssa, Ashley, Madeline and Nicholas; two brothers, Eli Doucette of Simsbury and Roland Doucette of Stafford Springs; and two sisters, Germaine Pelletier of Springfield, MA and sister Simmone Doucette of Biddeford, ME. In addition to her husband, Hilda was preceded in death by her son, David J. Faucher, her brother Raymond and her two sisters, Mary Jane and Delia. Family and friends may meet at the Carmon Funeral Home, 301 Country Club Rd., Avon, on Wednesday, November 5, at 10:15 a.m. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of St. Ann, 289 Arch Rd., Avon, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Avon. Her family will receive friends TODAY, November 4, from 4-7 p.m. at the Carmon Funeral Home in Avon.
