Missing woman found dead near Dawson Creek

The BC Coroners Service has identified human remains found earlier this month (May 18) along the Kiskatinaw River west of Highway 97 as those of a woman reported missing in December.

Renee Didier was last seen on December 2 and was reported missing by the Dawson Creek RCMP five days later.

The British Columbia RCMP's North District Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation and is asking the public for information about the case.

This is the second file of human remains found in the last month.

On April 18, Mounties were dispatched to 219 Road near Saskatoon Creek.

In addition, there have been a number of missing persons cases in the Dawson Creek area that have not yet been solved.

Among them is Darylyn Supernant, who has not been seen since March 2023. She is Didier's cousin.

Also missing is Dave Daniel Domingo, a 24-year-old man who was last seen near the city on August 29 when police were called to an incident that was classified as a possible shooting.

Cole Hosack, a 24-year-old man from Prince George, was last seen at the Lonestar Bar on New Year's Eve. Investigations into both cases are ongoing.
