Linebacker Dawson Merritt recaps the football visit to Nebraska

A four-star linebacker reflects on his recent visit to the Nebraska Cornhuskers. This past weekend, Dawson Merritt took an unofficial visit to Nebraska.

Merritt plays for Blue Valley High School in Stilwell, Kansas. Last season he recorded 83 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and seven sacks.

He says Chad Simmons from On3 that he has a close relationship with the Nebraska coaching staff and has even heard from a Nebraska quarterback.

“My relationship with the entire staff is different. I'm close to a lot of people on the defensive staff. Me and Dylan Raiola had a connection recently.”

Merritt will officially visit Lincoln the weekend of June 14 and Oklahoma a week later. Merritt is also considering Alabama and Missouri as part of his recruitment.
