'GMA' fans, here's the epic reason Ginger Zee wasn't on the show

Ginger quit her job on GMA as she is currently deployed to Canada's Northwest Territories. On December 10, she also announced that viewers will not see her for the rest of the week.

“Almost there… one more flight,” she wrote on Instagram, posting a photo of herself on an airport runway. “I will be deployed to Canada's Northwest Territories this week, so I hope you all are staying safe and having a peaceful week.”

Ginger will likely wait until she's back on air next week to reveal the extent of the trip, but fans in the comments couldn't wait to hear more.
