CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – With three wins in a row in the rearview mirror, Tobin’s Brownie (The Terror of Stonebridge) is hoping for her fourth consecutive win in the Fillies and Mares Preferred Pace Trotting Races in the main race on Thursday evening at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at Charlottetown Driving Park.

There will be a presentation with 11 lines on the city race track on Thursday evening from 6 p.m.

The Preferred Pace Race for mares and foals, with prize money of $3,500, is the highlight of the 10th race.

Tobins Brownie will again be placed number 5 on the grid for trainer and rider David Dowling and owners Brittany Dowling, Sandra Weeks and Erroll Burgoyne, all of Springvale. The six-year-old mare was a former Atlantic Champion during her stakes career for Team Dowling.

Rosetown Mary is the biggest threat from second place for trainer and rider Corey MacPherson and owners Taylor MacPherson and Rosetown Stable. Four-year-old Pang Shui has been second in this class for the past two weeks.

Also in the field are Ms Moyse (ridden by Adam Merner) from Post 1, The Ideal Huntress (Dr. Mitchell Downey) from Post 3 and Share The Moment (Gilles Barrieau) from Post 4.

The Post Times picks Rosetown Mary to end Tobin's Brownies winning streak at three.

“Rosetown Mary has been knocking on the door for the past few weeks but can't quite find the winner's circle. Draw the same spot and one day it will all work out in her favor. We're saying tonight.”

Race 6 is the Stingray Pace, with Woodmere Rollily the favorite for rider Merner, trainer Melissa Rennie and owners Marsha Knox and Cory Livingston.
